Their challenge

Air New Zealand is a premium airline, offering dozens of added extras that make them better than the rest – like free-poured NZ wine and freshly made food. To get this across to consumers, the brand team launched a global campaign called Little Betters.

For the UK team, the aim was to increase bookings by raising awareness, but they couldn’t do this without engaging the travel trade. To highlight their Little Betters to the trade, Air New Zealand came to us.

Our solution

To showcase each Little Better, we created a bold and striking design made up of a suite of quirky icons and taglines that reflected the brand’s fun personality. Using this style, we created a mini brochure and a bespoke box of lavish, unique items – each highlighting Air New Zealand’s added extras – that we sent out to travel agents.

But this campaign was much more than a box of treats. We designed and delivered a range of print and digital ads to support the campaign – all following our distinctive campaign style. And to support the booking incentive, we built a rewards microsite where users could win once-in-a-lifetime prizes when they booked Air New Zealand flights.
