In 2015, Front Page turned 25, and we knew that we had to do something spectacular to mark such a momentous occasion. So we decided to hold a party-slash-exhibition—a party to share a great night with friends, colleagues and clients and an exhibition to show off the collective creative talents we’ve spent the last 25 years perfecting.
After a few team meetings to discuss ideas for the event, we began preparations in earnest. First things first, we needed guests, so we designed bespoke invitations that were hand-creased, hand-folded, hand-packed and hand-posted to over 420 lucky recipients across the world.
Our venue was SWG3 in Glasgow’s West End, with our exhibition in the Gallery and the dance party taking over the adjacent Poetry Club. Not content to simply have a gallery-style exhibition of our work, the team collaborated on some fantastic interactive exhibits, including a ‘sketch station’ where guests could leave a doodle or an autograph to commemorate the evening— a sort of DIY guestbook!
We also produced:
And of course, no celebration is complete without some top-notch tipples, and true to the spirit of the party, we came up with our own signature cocktail creations: Grand Old Time—a zingy mixture of gin and Grand Marnier; and Rum & Brazen—a tropical taste sensation made using our very own unique rum blend from the Project Room. We even had a microsite where guests could vote for their favourite cocktail, with Rum & Brazen emerging as the runaway champion.
Judging by the amount of laughter, dancing, photos and empty cocktail glasses left at the end of the evening, our silver anniversary was a resounding success, and from first concepts to last orders, the whole team had a ball.
Here’s to the next 25…
